Holy cow, I never have much time!

Hola! HAPPY OCTOBER!!!! I love October! Apparently people don’t really celebrate it here. Only some people. Sad! Anyway. This week was awesome! I can now mark going to 4 countries off my list! Crazy! I went to Brazil on Friday! It was really cool. There is a bridge that goes from Uruguay to Brazil that is super close to our house, and so my comp and I walked over the bridge, had lunch with a member in Brazil, and then did work in Brazil that day! Its crazy how just across the border, within a few miles, everything changes. No one spoke Spanish, and it looked so different. Everyone that we walked past would say Oi! And not hola. Super weird haha. We were supposed to go out with a member that knew Portugese, but she canceled on us. And we couldn’t find the paper with the names of the people that we had to go visit so we were literally just in the middle of Brazil and we had no clue what to do. We walked down the street and the first person we ran into was actually a member. She spoke super fast and I had no clue what she sad. Not a word haha. She had 2 friends come over and we tried to teach them about the restoration but that did not work. At all. After trying to talk to a few people on the streets, someone told us where some members lived, and they let us in. Their family was so nice! We talked, (they could understand Spanish), fed us, and drove us home. We didn’t even end up doing much work because we were so completely lost at what to do. It was an awesome experience though! I didn’t realize how much I loved Spanish haha. I woke up that morning and I was frustrated with Spanish. And then by the time night came, I was just like, "I LOVE SPANISH!!" haha.
How was conference for everyone? Man conference was so good! I seriously didn’t want it to end. I had a lot of my questions answered. I know that The Lord really does speak through his prophets. Heavenly Father loves us so much, its insane. And he is so merciful. If you didn’t watch conference, watch it. Its amazing!!! I would watch them over again if I could. The words of the Lord through His prophets can literally help everyone.
This week my comp and I realized that one of our investigators might not be progressing at all and we might even have to drop her. Its super sad. We wanted her to be baptized. She has so many problems in her life and we keep trying to help her and teach her and visit her, but she is very distracted and she doesn’t want to change. She doesn’t think she can and she doesn’t want to. We are still going to try to work with her this week, but I think we are going to have to decide soon what to do. But, we found a new investigator this week! Her name is Karen and she is so awesome! We taught her the restoration and she seemed very interested. We are going to try to work with her a lot this week.
Sorry, not too much time today. Thank you for all of your prayers! We should all take the advice we heard in conference. Study the scriptures. Now is the time. This is the day of our salvation. I love my Heavenly Father. And I love my Savior. I love Thomas S. Monson. And I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints!! Until next week!
