Hola mi amigos! Muchísimas gracias por sus oraciones!
Not a ton happened this week. Sorry if I say that a lot! My comp and I are trying to work a lot with the recent converts/ less actives. Its really sad how quickly people become inactive. They just dont understand the doctrine of Christ. We must have faith. And that faith must bring us to repentance. And then through baptism, we can have the gift and guidance of the holy ghost throughout our lives to be able to endure to the end. Its super simple, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Its not easy sometimes, but its so so worth it to live it. People do not like committing to things here. We will have a wonderful lesson and then at the end, they dont commit to actually doing anything. My comp and I are trying to work on teaching more with the Spirit.
Spanish is starting to come along. I know the Heavenly Father is helping me so much. Sometimes its hard not to get overwhelmed with it, but I just have to remember that God Works in his own time. I am starting to be able to understand more, I just need to be speaking more! I have to prepare for my next comp, which will most likely be Latina! Oh goodness.
I had the opportunity to watch the Womens Conference on Sunday and it was so good! I watched most of it in Spanish, and I understood a lot, and then I watched Pres. Uchtdorfs talk in English. It was so good! Exactly what I needed to hear! We need to remember that the work of the Lord is not bitter. It is sweet above all that is sweet! Speaking of conference, CONFERENCE IS IN 6 DAYS!!! I am so stoked! They are letting all of the gringos watch it in English :) Ahhh, I'm so excited. I have a challenge for all of you guys to invite at least one person to watch conference with you. The words of the prophet are very powerful. And the Lord blesses those who serve Him! I have seen so many miracles on my mission. Even if they are tiny. There are so many people that need help in this world, so share the gospel! The mission is definitely not a place for your comfort zone. Especially if you are learning a new language. You just have to get so used to feeling uncomfortable and not caring.
This week was really good :) I love the people that I am teaching and I cant wait to watch them keep progressing, and find those that are looking for the gospel. Again, thank you for your prayers! Feel free to send me letters!
