Hey everybody!
This week was crazy fast like every other. I just don’t understand. But anyways, it was a wonderful week!
Me and Hermana Anderson were together working as hard as we could and finding new people to teach! Some days didn’t go as we would have liked. But then there were other days that were awesome.. That’s the mission. Well I guess that’s just life. Saturday was a really good day. We got a lot of work done I felt like and found a few new people that can progress. But we also had another lesson with Valdirene and Alfredo. This time we invited a member that could help us with the Portuguese. And so the lesson was really good. And I think they could understand and feel more this time. It was cool because last week Valdirene told us that she had to pray more and get an answer and on Saturday she said that she knows it true and she's gotten a confirmation. The only thing is that Alfredo hasn’t prayed yet. And so he hasn’t been able to get his answer yet. He's still a little confused. But I know that prayer is so important. Without it, we cant understand God and know for ourselves his mysteries. So he said that he is going to pray and I know that when he does with faith he will get his answer! They accepted to be baptized on the 19th of September if they are prepared by then! :) They are the best and they are so nice! Its crazy because they are so new here and yet they are serving us and helping us. We got to their house and they do anything they can to help us. They are a big example for me. I know they are in the right direction and that God answers prayers and he is involved in our lives.
So news, I am now in an area called Limpio with Hermana Jones (we were in the MTC together). So I will have the opportunity to get to know a new area, new people, and find the people here that God has prepared! So yesterday was a day full of good byes and hopefully see you laters. It was a very short time that I was there (2 months) so it was a little weird saying bye so soon. But I grew to love Laurelty and the people there. I know that area has a lot of potencial and Hermana Anderson will take good care if it!
We had a lesson this week with a woman named Noelia (only the 2nd lesson) but we were going to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ and what she can do to follow Christ. She is a mom of 6 and she has desires to follow Christ. Then on the way there we were thinking about how she really knows nothing about church or even the Savior and so we decided to focus really on Jesus and the very basics. What he did for us and why. And it was amazing talking about how he bleed from every pore for us and what kind of agony he went through. Its incredible and in that moment I felt the love of the savior and how much he cares and loves each and every one of us. If we don’t understand who Jesus is and what he did for us, If we really don’t understand his Atonement, we wont know why we are supposed to do the things he has told us to do. Its not that we are repaying him for what we did. But we are showing him our appreciation and love for him. In the scriptures it shows us that Christ atoned for the sins of "his" people. We have to become his people by following him. If we dont, we cant show our appreciation for what he really did for us. It was a really good lesson that we had just focusing on Jesus Christ.
Well, here's to a new week of all new things! Hope you all have a wonderful week! Love you all!
