Hey! How was everyone's week?! I hope just the best! And if not, you have another one!
Mine was pretty full and crazy but it ended on a really good note finding a family :) the Pabon Family
Yesterday we were contacting, trying to find a reference and looking for his house. So we were asking around the neighborhood. We decided to ask this one lady that was standing outside her house and so she told us a little bit of information but afterwards we decided to introduce ourselves and contact her. Lately as a mission we have been leaving our house with the Book of Mormon in our hands to have it ready to contact. I really believe that it is the most powerful tool that I have as a missionary. And the book is amazing and it brings the spirit so strongly. So we testified of the Book of Mormon and asked if we could share more with her and her family. Her husband had come and her only son. So we went it and sat down and started talking about the Gospel and everything. She has a brother right now that is a member and even a missionary in Argentina. So se has heard about the church but we were able to teach them more about it. We shared a few scriptures about our Savior and how we can only be saved by Him and his gospel. And how he left for us a perfect example to follow and that is baptism. So we invited them to baptism and with tears in their eyes, they all said yes. It was the surest yes that I’ve ever heard in my mission. And I am really grateful for the opportunity that we had to find them and teach them. We will be returning to them later this week.
But this family is really something special. We invited the dad to pray and the mom said that he couldn’t’ or else he would cry and the dad started to cry, he said that he was touched and that they were so glad that we came. We don’t know what has happened in their lives or their situation, but what i do know is that the Gospel helps with everything! In every aspect of our lives. I could really feel the spirit working through us, testifying to them through us. And it feels amazing really to be able to be a witness of that. I know all of you can have the spirit talk through you too if you just open your mouth and share this beautiful gospel to neighbors, family, even strangers. This is the light that we have in our lives.
This week was pretty crazy like I said. We had a lot of divisions with the sisters and that’s always fun. But very tiring! But I know that the Lord gives us strength beyond our own abilities. We just have to try our best and be obedient and he will give us that ability thanks to his Atonement.
Well, sometimes I feel like a lot happens in the week but then in the end I don’t know what to say! And that’s this week, so I’m sorry! But I will leave you all with a scripture that is found Mosiah 5:2. I was reading it this morning and I loved it thinking about the missionary work. And about investigators. But thinking of it in a different way, let us all apply this scripture to us and let the gospel change us totally into a new better person!
Well, I hope you all have a great week and we will be talking soon!
