Hey!
This week has been so crazy, but its been good :) I am now in Montevideo and I had forgotten what its like to be in the busy city. Its crazy. But I like it. Today we went to a place called la ciudad vieja (the old city) and its beautiful! I have been there once before when I first started my mission. It was a lot of fun. And guess what? I had McDonalds!! Haven’t seen a McDonalds in monthsss. So it was awesome :) My companion is awesome. She speaks Spanish 24/7 which is super great! Her Spanish is really good to only have been here for 4 months. As for my area.... its huge. SO. BIG. Its a little overwhelming but its super cool. We have been able to find a few possible future investigators and we have been able to visit a lot of less actives. (One of them came to church this week!!)
I don’t have a TON to share about this week because I’m just learning about the area and the people and everything but everything is going really well over here! My ward is really great. Everyone is super nice.
This week I was studying a lot in Jacob 5. I learn SO much every single time I read it. And I still don’t understand everything. But this time while i was reading it I was concentrating on the gathering of Israel and the importance of missionary work. I never realized just how important missionary work is but we are literally preparing the way for our Savior Jesus Christ to come to this world again. Our job is to bring others unto Christ. This week I’ve really been trying to help these people that I am talking to progress. I love telling people about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We are living in the last days! And I know that there are souls to save. Everyone here on this earth has already chosen the plan of God before they came to this earth. We are here to remind them of that and bring them back on the path. I love my Savior so much and my testimony has grown so much.
I'll have more to share next week :) I hope everyone is really happy and I hope y’all have a great Memorial day!
