Hola :)
I’m already leaving Montevideo! What the heck! I really enjoyed my time here. Its was seriously so much fun. It was cool being able to be in the city again. But I guess now the Lord wants me in Paysandú! And I’m going to be with Hermana Paredes! She’s from Peru and we were in the MTC together. She was in my district this change and we went on divisions together. She’s really great and super funny! Well have a lot of fun together.
As for this week...
Well we didn’t end up having Ian’s baptism because of miscommunication with his grandmother. But this Saturday, we had a Family Home Evening with the family Palabez. They are so great!! They have 3 little girls and we taught them about D&C 27. The armor of God. We had them all draw a body and then as we were reading, they drew the armor and what it represented. It was really great! I really love that family.
My companion and I were walking on the street the other day and a guy passed us, turned around and said "Are you guys Americans?" And we were like "yeah!" He had on a California sweatshirt and said that he lived in CA for about 15 years. So his English is really good. We found out that he was a member and he asked us when we are going to be having an activity in the church. We told him what time we start church and everything. We haven’t had the chance to teach him yet, but elders are coming into our area, so they’ll be able to work a lot with him (because he’s a less active). It was awesome!!
I was able to go to the temple this morning and it was such a great experience! Its been 6 months since I’ve been able to go. I’m SO grateful for the temples that we have on this earth. I feel such peace when I’m inside and I feel so close to the Lord :) I love this gospel SO much!! Make sure you do all that you can to always be able to enter into the temple. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us. And He has given us this gospel. The world around us is changing and we need to be stronger than ever. We NEED this foundation. Decide now which side you’re going to choose.
I love you all!
Hermana Jacqueline Wiscombe!
