So today is the last day of this transfer! How crazy. I have been in Artigas for 3 months and tonight I will be going to Colonia. I hear its a lot like Montevideo. Well see! My companion will be Hermana Nielson. She is from the states and this next transfer will be her last. It’ll be weird to be in a different area.
OH! HAPPY DECEMBER! Can you guys believe that its already December? I cant! I hope that you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving! It was just a normal day of work for me, but I was thinking about all of the things that I am grateful for, and I seriously have been blessed with SO much!
This week we had a baptism!!! This past Saturday! His name is Kevin. He is 10 years old and he is the grandson of recent converts. It was an awesome experience. He is super smart and has a strong testimony. His mom isn’t a member, so I’m really hoping that the missionaries keep working with him so that he can stay active when he grows up.
Not too much happened this week. I had to start packing up yesterday which was weird, and I have to finish today.
Oh! I gave a talk on Sunday! I talked about the Plan of Salvation. And guess what?! My companion said that my Spanish was like perfect! I was so happy. She said that my Spanish has improved a lot since I she got here. That made me happy :) I am getting pretty good at talking about spiritual things, I just need to work more on every day things. I talked for about 15 minutes, and I had only gotten about half way through my talk before someone came up and put a piece of paper on the pulpit that said "time". I could believe it. I was like what?! I have like half of my talk left! But that’s okay. I said what I needed to say. And people said that they liked it.
I’m super sorry I don’t have much time today, but I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Remember to keep Christ in Christmas. "He is the Gift". He is the whole reason we celebrate this holiday right? Its amazing what he went through with us.
Love you all! Hermana Jacqueline Wiscombe
