Hola!! Como están todos?! Espero que su semana fue bueno y que están listos para esta semana! Para ser sus mejores!
Bueno, on to this week.. First off we had a branch activity on Saturday night. We had a movie night, watching Meet the Mormons. We invited everybody and told them to bring their friends and everyone to "meet the Mormons." There wasn’t a huge turnout.. I think due to the soccer game right before where Paraguay was playing. But it was still a good activity! Lots of the members said they liked it. To prepare for it, Hermana Larsen and I decided to prepare a few days before making some cookie dough ready to bake on Saturday morning. By the time we got done after an hour, we had made 100 cookies! And they were pretty good, I’m not going to lie. haha A few weeks ago we went to the familia Fernandes and had a FHE with them and made cookies and they said that they were like rocks.. Baking here in Paraguay is different haha. So we tried to improve them this time and they turned out a whole lot better haha. We passed the familia Fernandes test! Anyways, it was a good activity.
This week we have been talking a lot about repentance in our lessons. We have an investigator that hasn’t come to church in so long but she always says she will come and we also have some converts that haven’t come in a while. And we just want to help them! Sometimes as a missionary we just wish we could act for them! We can teach and do all we can do to help them, but the only thing we can't do is make them change. So that is why we talked a lot about repentance. A lot of times when I am testifying in a lesson or something I feel so much love from the Lord. He is so merciful and loving and I couldn’t imagine a Savior any other way. This Gospel truly is perfect and EVERYTHING is possible. It just depends on us and our desires! This week I was reading in 2 Nephi 9. Its such a good chapter. We can learn so much about life and the plan of Salvation with this chapter. But one verse that I like is verse5 at the end it says: "..died for all men, that all men might become subject unto him." Now that Christ has done everything, we are in His debt. And what we have to do as debtors is in verse 23. We have to repent. Not only do we have to, we get to! If we truly repent, God will forgive us and we can be so happy!
This week we had a lesson with a less active. Well, she would be active, Hermana Villar, but she had surgery a while ago so its been a while since she hasn’t gone to church. But she is finally able to walk! And so we had a lesson with her and also her daughter, Claudia, sat in. That was amazing in itself! She has never been interesting in listening to us. It has been over a year since she has come to church. So we shared a scripture and she talked and I think she really wants to change. So on Sunday guess who showed up to church!? Claudia and Hermana Villar! Ahhh I was so happy to see them!! It made this girl very happy :) I know that this will bless them! I hope they can fully reactivate! and become strong!
Well, that’s about it to share for this week! Next week will probably be a bit more.. we'll see! We find out changes tomorrow. We don't know if I'll be going or not, but its been 7 months in Concepción! Talk to you guys soon! Thanks for EVERYTHING!!!
