Happy March everyone! Can you believe it? March. Already. Blows my mind.
This past week went well for us! I dont have too much to report on, but Ill tell you a few experiences that we had.
So. This past week we were teaching Luz about the authority and just how important it is. Like I said, she said that she was having some troubles if our church was the ONLY true church and if our church was the only one that had authority. And we were trying to explain to her, that yes, it was. She really didnt want to leave her church because she liked her church, and she had been going there for 12 years. So... unfortunately, she told us that she wanted to drop us. It was hard and sad, but I knew that we couldn’t’ let our spirits down. A few days passed and yesterday we were walking on the street. We decided to go try to find new people on a list of old investigators that I found. So I took the sheet of paper with me and we saw that there were a lot of people that lived on the street "25 de Mayo" which happens to be the street that Luz lives on. We passed her house, and it was just kind of sad. We continued down the road and heard someone calling our name. We turned around, and...it was Luz. We walked up to her and she said that she was wanting to talk to us. She told us that she still wanted to take lessons from us. We were so surprised. At least I was. (I think she could actually see it on my face haha). She said that she just wanted to have the lessons in a different area because when we do it at her house, there are little kids running around, and its loud and she just wants a more relaxed place. So of course, we agreed! And she also told us that she still was wanting to be baptized and she was `probably going to go to church this Sunday. Talk about a HUGE miracle. The church is so true. So anyway, we are going to continue to teach her! We asked her what changed her mind, and she said that she went to her church yesterday and didn’t like a few things. One thing that I truly know is that the Lord works in His own time and in His own way. He really is guiding this work. This was one of the really great experiences that I had this week.
I hope all of you guys remember to remember the Lords timing. We have his PROMISE that he will answer our prayers. Every one of them. But we need to remember that He knows best. And He works in His own time. I love my Savior and I love my Heavenly Father more than I could express. I see his tender mercies everyday for us. Us, being imperfect human beings. But He will NEVER stop loving us. He knows us inside and out and wants us to return to Him. That is why I am here. I know that I need to help some of my brothers and sisters find their way back to our Father that is in heaven. What a blessing :)
I love you all and hope your week is amazing!
