Another week? I don’t even remember what happened!
To start off, I have good news!
I was just told that my investigators from my other area (Nueva Palmira), Marta and Ruben Troya are getting baptized this Saturday!!! I’m so happy!! I knew that they were going to get baptized. I really wish that I had a picture with them. I never got the chance to take a picture. But that’s okay. Its true what D&C 18 says. Verse 16. Bringing souls unto Christ brings such joy!
We are also going to have a baptism of our own this upcoming Saturday. Her name is Mabel. She has 3 kids. We’ve been teaching all of them. They’re all so great! Her kids are going to get baptized too, we just aren’t sure when yet. It’ll be a really spiritual experience because her fiancé will be baptizing her :)
Its amazing to see the work of the Lord move forward!
My companion and I were able to help a less active this week. We had 2 lessons with her. The first lesson we talked about having a sure foundation and to make sure that our faith has roots. (Helaman 5:12 and Alma 32:41). And the second lesson that we had with her we watched the DVD: "finding faith in Christ". It was really great! And yesterday, she came to church! For the first time in one year!
Another cool story. A member and our investigator (Facundo) went with us to a lesson. And they were both helping us so much! It was so great to see that our investigator is understand and trying to help others understand. He even took out an extra invitation that he had to an activity we are having this Friday and gave it to him (the person we were teaching). It was so awesome :)
This past week was really good and I plan on making this week even better!
I’m sorry I didn’t write a lot. But I hope you all have an amazing week!
I encourage all of you to read in the May Liahona 2015, "Choose to Believe" by Elder L. Whitney Clayton. It all starts with the faith. And even when we are in the darkness, we can press forward, trusting that the light will ALWAYS be there even if we cant always see it. Keep moving forward and never lose your faith :)
Love you all!!
