I’m officially in my 6th area and its going great! This area is really pretty! It has a little bit of city and a little bit of "country." Its been really fun getting to know the are with my new comp, Hermana Paredes. She is from Perú and she’s really funny. We laugh a lot. We are lost 95% of the time, but we have a map, so its ok. Our area is HUGE!! But Im actually really excited to get to know a lot of the people here. We’ve already gotten to know some of the members- active and inactive. Everyone is so nice here!! We also have some really great investigators! The Hermanas before us were teaching them. One of them is named Mabel and she has a son named Washington. We talked to them the other day about the Book of Mormon. It was a good lesson! Mabel has a baptismal date for the 25th of July. The Hermanas says that she goes to church every week but she didn’t show up yesterday. We are going to go visit her and see what happens. We also have another investigator named Facundo and he is awesome. He is 17 and he told us yesterday that he wants to be baptized and wants to be a member of the church. His baptismal date is for the 3rd of October. He has to wait a little while, because his mom says that he cant get baptized until he’s 18. Yesterday in church, Hermana Paredes and I taught the gospel principles class and it was about baptism. It was really great!! (That’s when he told us that he wanted to be a member of our church). We talked about the importance of the promise we make when we are baptized and how we have to endure to the end to have eternal life. It was really great! :)
I don’t have too much to tell you guys today because I’m still getting to know there area and the people and everything. But I’m really liking it over here! I feel like Ill be staying in this area for a long time. But well see!
I’ve been reading the Liahona from May 2015 (general conference talks) and its incredible. I encourage all of you to read a talk from that Liahona. Every single talk is so inspired. One scripture that we used yesterday that I have felt applies to us more now than ever is Alma 34:31-32. It talks about the purpose of this life. I know that we are living in the last days and what better day than TODAY to prepare! I know that my Savior lives and we need to prepare the way before Him. Its amazing, this gospel and I hope you all remember how blessed you are to have it in your lives.
Thank you guys for your support and your prayers :)
