We had another really good week this past week!
We are still trying to find new people to teach and we cant complain. People still have their agency but we are seeing miracles. And it turns out that a lot of people have already talked to missionaries before. So that makes conversation easy. Our challenge as a mission is to teach the restoration in a contact in less than 3 minutes. And we’ve been able to do it a few times. Its really awesome! I like being able to tell people about the restored gospel.
This week we had an awesome experience. One night we had about 15 minutes left before we had to go into the house and we saw a lady and her son walking on the street. We stopped them and started talking to them. Told them that we are missionaries and we are getting to know the people here. She was super nice from the start. She gave us her address and we set a date to go visit her. We set the date for Saturday night. Saturday night we passed by and.... no one was home. Haha. But Sunday night one of our lessons fell through so we decided to go to Nelly’s house. (her name is Nelly). Her dad opened the door and they were both so welcoming! She’s about 30 and her dad is about 60 years old. We asked them if they had a little time and they said of course. So we taught them about the restoration and it was seriously incredible. It went so well! They had questions and they listened and we invited them to pray in the end and they said that they would. And before we left, we asked Nelly if she would say a prayer for us and she did and it was so cute! She was thanking God for the "friends" she now has--talking about us. Haha. It was super sweet :) She’s so nice! And we are going to go back on Friday. I’m really excited! Experiences like that is what makes the mission worth it!
This week I have been reading like crazy the Book of Mormon because my goal is to read it all the way through (in Spanish) before I go home. I’m in Mosiah right now. Its been really amazing rereading the Book of Mormon. It is full of examples to follow, doctrine and teachings of Christ, etc. Its so amazing! And the Book of Mormon really is a strength for me. It contains absolutely everything we need to prepare ourselves for the marvelous day when Christ comes to the Earth. We just need to read, study and live the Book of Mormon. Every day and in every moment. Its seriously incredible and I love it so much!
I’m sorry I don’t have too much time, but I want to thank you all for your support and your prayers. Have an amazing week!!
