Hey! Well, to start off it was a crazy week and a lot was going on with changes and everything! But it was a good week :)
So Hermana Morales went home to Uruguay. She finished her mission. So I am staying here in Laurelty for now and Hermana Anderson from Utah is my companion. She has 6 sisters and no brothers so we can kind of relate haha. Its been fun getting to know her.
This week we didn’t get to teach a whole lot with all of the changes but the few we did have were really good. Yesterday after church (Jesus got confirmed!) we had a lesson with him. We asked him to say the opening prayer and it was the best thing ever. Its true when they say simple is the best. He prayed and it was so sincere. Remember that he is only 11. But he asked Heavenly Father if he could stay strong enough so that he can be a missionary one day. He is the only active member in his family. The missionaries found him like a year ago. And his mom was baptized a long time ago but she isn’t active. We are trying to work with her. But he's the best! He's so young, yet he wants to follow Christ.
Last night we had a lesson with a less active that recently moved into the ward. She is 24 and a convert of 5 years. We found her like a week or two ago and she said that she would be going to church with us, but then she didn’t show up. So we went and saw her last night and she said that she can feel that she isn’t doing her part. Its true, we can feel. And one thing that I have learned on my mission is that when we don’t feel good or when something doesn’t feel right, something’s wrong. Its like when our body gets hurt. We feel pain, so we stop what ever is causing the pain. Feeling the pain helps us know that it isn’t good. And so when we don’t feel good or when we feel bad for something. Its really a blessing from God that we have to recognize that. All we have to do is recognize it and stop doing whatever is causing those bad feelings. I know that she (Deisy) can go back to church and be healed and be made whole again. That’s what the gospel does for us. And I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for all of the guidance he gives us everyday. the good feelings when we are doing good, and the bad feelings when we are not doing so good. So let that move us and change us! Into someone better!
Well, that’s about all for today. This week we are going to work super hard in Laurelty! I hope you all have a wonderful week! Talk to you soon!
Love, Hermana Liesel Wiscombe
P.S. read Alma 5. All of it. I know its a long part to ask to read. But you all just have to do it! Because it will help all of us :)
