Hey! This week was a really good one!
I don’t have too much time to write. I’m sorry! But I will tell you what sticks out in my mind.
First to start off. Nelly. We have been able to go back and visit her and every single time, its always so great! She is always ready to listen and learn. It was really awesome because we have been inviting her to pray to see if these things are true and she says, I’m praying, but I’m waiting for an answer! We have explained to her that sometimes just feeling good is an answer. And she says that she’s always so happy when we go over to her house :) But, she told us that she had a dream that someone came up to her and told her all about the church and said that this was the true church. Its amazing to see that God listens to EVERY prayer. She is progressing and reading the Book of Mormon, she has questions and we are trying to help her understand everything. We went to her house last night and her dad was there (we had talked to him once) and her mother-in-law was there. We talked to all of them about faith, repentance, baptism, the holy ghost and the sacrament. We talked to them about how Heavenly Father wants ALL of His children to be baptized by someone who has authority so that they can return to his presence. We invited the dad and the mother-in- law to be baptized and they both said yes!! Cant remember if I’ve already said it, but the son agreed to be baptized too :) We have just seen a lot of miracles here. It makes me so happy!
The other day we took the bus to get to another part of our area because its about a 45 minute walk. So we went to a members house and we had a really great lesson. Afterwards, we wanted to catch the bus so we didn’t have to walk back. It was raining. And turned out.... the bus never came. It just didn’t come!! We were just standing in the rain for about 20 minutes before we decided to start walking. Then we walked 45 minutes in the rain haha. We were drenched... of course. But don’t worry. I didn’t get sick. It was an adventure. Whenever things happen like that, I always just tell my comps, "Its just part of the mission!!" Haha.
But this week really was great. I have seen prayers be answered and the work really is pressing along. I am really grateful for all of you guys and for your prayers. I hope all is well and that you are happy!
I have been reading in Alma this week. I have been reading in the war chapters. One chapter that caught my attention (Alma 49) is when Moroni is just preparing and preparing to go into war. These scriptures were written so that we can apply them to our life. Now, more than ever, we are living in a time a "war". Good against evil. We need to be prepared BEFORE we are attacked. I love reading the words of the prophets and knowing that I can apply it to my life. I hope you all have an amazing week! Love you!
