Hey! Guess what! I’m training! I am going to Montevideo tonight and Ill meet my "daughter" tomorrow! I’m nervous but I’m really excited. It’ll be a lot of fun :) Its crazy that I’m training. Time just goes by so fast. My companion is leaving and she will be going to a place called Dolores. She’s sad to be leaving, but I think shell have a good time. We were together for 3 months. Crazy!
And now my hija and I are going to be together for 3 months. We´ll see if I know what I’m doing! Haha.
This week was normal. It was good! We had lots of lessons. Sometimes its hard to keep going because your body is so physically tired, but we had a stake conference on Sunday and they said that our hearts push our bodies to do what we know we need to do. And its true. There’s so much work to be done!
I’m not quite sure what to say in specific. I will have a lot more to say next week, I’m sorry! Oh. But one lesson that sticks out in my mind was Thursday. We went to Gustavo and Alejandras house and we felt that we should show them the video of the restoration. Holy cow, I love that movie. So we got there, sang, said a prayer, and showed the movie. Its a little over an hour long. And let me tell you. The spirit was so strong!! It was so amazing. If I have learned anything of the mission. its that I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. And thanks to him, we have the restored gospel of the church!! We are no longer in darkness and we have everything we need :) It was a really great lesson. When it finished. we just simply shared our testimonies with them about Joseph Smith. It was really great :)
Oh! Something that my companion and I were studying and teaching a lot this week was the importance of the Book of Mormon. And we taught it according to the story of the tree of life. The ONLY way that we can get to the tree of life is by the word of God. If we take out the Book of Mormon, its 100% impossible to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. That’s why our loving Heavenly Father has given us this incredible book!! Not only so we can read it, but study it, learn by it, and LIVE IT! If we are just holding on the iron rod and not moving forward (acting), we aren’t going to reach the tree. We have to keep moving forward, enduring the end, and living what we know!! I love 1 Nephi 8. I always learn from it. And in verse 11, we know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the most precious and beautiful thing we have on this earth :)
I love this gospel and I love my Heavenly Father for preparing a plan for me. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and everything that he did for me. I love all of you for praying for me while I am out here in the mission field! I hope you all have an amazing week and are SUPER happy!!
