Hey!! 4-20-15
Random thought! Like 2 hours ago, my companion and I ran into a guy that is from here, but he was living in Australia for a long time so he speaks English but with an Australian accent and its super cool! And he was super nice.
Another random story to start off the week. I got bit by a dog haha. The hole was pretty deep and I have bruises around it but its healing. There was a day where I could barely bend my leg but my companion has been putting special oils on it to make it heal faster and she’s been cleaning it. So nice! So yeah, I’m okay! The dogs here in Uruguay are just crazy.
Something that happened this week is Hermana Sablan and I were walking down the street and these two girls were basically flagging us down behind us so we stopped and they walked up to us and asked us if we preached about God. We said yes and they asked if we could visit them. They wanted us to go to their house and talked to their mom. We said, sure, why? And they told us that their older brother (19 years old) was killed 3 months ago. So, of course, the mom was beyond sad. We prayed with all of them and shared a little bit about the Atonement. We are going to go visit them this week and talk to them about the Plan of Salvation. I cant even imagine how hard this is for her. But I am grateful that I have this opportunity to help her. To allow her to come to know her Savior Jesus Christ and what He did for her. He suffered for every soul that’s ever lived, that is living and that will ever live.
Something else that Hermana Sablan and I did this week is we went to an English class and we got to help out! It was really awesome! They just asked us questions about our lives and we answered in English and we got to ask them questions too. It was a lot of fun! I think we are going to be able to help them again. Learning different languages is just so cool!
That’s basically it for this week! Hermana Sablan and I are having so much fun together!! She makes me laugh so much! And we sing together a lot haha. This week we are going to have a lot of lessons and work super hard!
We get to see Elder Oaks tomorrow! I’m so excited!
I hope all of you guys have an amazing week! Thank you for your prayers :)
