Hola! I hope all of you are enjoying the cooler weather! 12-8-14
As for me, I have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful heat of Paraguay more that ever before! As it is nearing summer here, they sent me to Concepcion. I am serving here with Hermana Bennett from Utah. Concepcion is about an 8 hour bus ride north from Asuncion, or Molino, my last area. Last week they told us that I would be transferring. This is officially my second area and it's super weird to be in a different area than Molino! But I am super happy to be here!
When I first was told that I was coming here, I thought that I was going to be sent straight to the Chaco. Where nobody speaks Spanish, only Guarani. And there wasn't going to be hardly any civilization. Just dirt roads, Guarani's, and a lot of space to walk from house to house. I couldn't have been more wrong! yeah, there might be bit more Guarani here.. which I am learning slowly! But this area is a lot more cushier than my last area (fancier, richer?) The River is super close and so it reminds me of a beach town in a way. It's actually pretty nice here, that is of course paraguayan standards. But I already love it here and I have enjoying getting to know the area and the branch here.
Tuesday was my last day in Molino. We were running from member to member to say goodbye. I am super sad to leave them, but hopefully I can see them sometime in the future! That ward really was like my home. Tuesday there seemed to be no time to see everyone. But I know that Hermana Perez will take good care of them!
Wednesday we were traveling all day. We were in a collective for 8 hours and then we finally arrived in Concepcion that night.
Hermana Bennett is already teaching me so much! I have enjoyed my time with her this past week. That's about all for this week. But I am super happy to be here and I hope that all of you find happiness in where you are at in your lives! Remember to think of Christ in this holiday season! Invite everyone you know to watch the videos the church has put out. They are making a huge effort in this season of Christmas to spread the love, knowledge, and work of Christ!!
