I don’t have too much time today, but I want to tell you guys a Little bit about Artigas! The people here are so nice! Its super tranquillo over here. Much more than Montevideo. One problem is, is that the people are super nice, and they will let you into their house and listen to your lesson, and then at the very end of the lesson we ask them, "will you do this..." (a commitment). And they never say yes. Uruguayans do not like to commit to anything. If anything is a little harder than super easy, chill, and tranquillo, then they don’t like to do it. It makes it hard. But we are going to try to work harder this week to teach with clarity and power and the spirit. The spirit is key. Nothing will happen if the spirit is there. And I literally cannot teach when the spirit isn’t there, I cant think of what to say when Im not teaching through the spirit. That’s why teaching with the spirit is so important!
Its starting to get a tiny bit hotter here. Its not bad yet, but I have a super cute tan line on my feet. I am going to have to start wearing sunscreen soon. Oh! My comp and I had an awesome contact this week! Her, a member, and I were walking down a Little dirt Street and I heard a song that I recognized and so I stopped and gasped, and both of them were like. "Que??" and then I started singing, "Cause Im your ladyyyy, and you are my mannn, whenever you reach for me, I do all that I cannn" Hahaha. Celine Dion. I was like I love music!! And so we walked up to that house, and my comp. clapped. No one answered. Then me and her clapped to make it louder and no one answered. And then the third time, me, her, and the member clapped really loud, and a lady came to the door. It turns out she is a member! She got baptized 16 years ago, but she isn’t active at all. So we are going to work with her and her family! This is why music is so awesome haha. Not too much happened this week because we were just trying to find lots of people, but it was a good week! There are some rough moments, but I try to stay motivated! I’m trying to understand everything. Slowly but surely the gift of tongues is coming! I know the Lord is there. Thanks for all of your prayers! Read Moroni 7! It’s awesome!
