Family! November 10, 2014
I'm sorry I didn't write last week! It was kind of a crazy day! And the internet didn't want to cooperate. But anyways, this week just flew by.
First thing, when it rains, it pours. The thunderstorms here are like none other. There have been a few mornings with dark skies and super loud thunder during studies. One morning we went out to work and the roads here are not meant for rain like this. They were rivers. And I loved it!! Oh it was just the best. Maybe because it was a little break from the heat. That, and getting to walk in water up to our shins was just the best. Paraguay, where I am, is just red dirt roads everywhere. So seeing water was just the best!
As for the miracles, Heavenly Father is just the best. He is so loving and I can really see his hand in this work. In Molino! This past week we had 17 less active people at church. WHAT?! When does that happen? Never. Oh it was just the best to see them ALL. My heart was just jumping with joy to see them there on that beautiful Sunday morning. There is no better place you can be on a Sunday morning than at church. Participating in the sacrament. Oh what a wonderful joy and opportunity that we have each Sunday to do that! Always, we assisted one of our investigators to church and it was so awesome walking with her to church and for her to experience for the first time the true church of Jesus Christ. She is 23 and we are really hoping and can see that she can progress. She has a hunger for the truth and is willing to put her beliefs into action. I know that her faith will bring her a change of heart and many blessings!!
I have really seen the work here progress. I know that by working hard, as hard as we can, the Lord will do the rest. The Lord worked miracles in the hearts of these people this past week. And I am so blessed to be a witness of that!
One more thing, we have a baptism this week!! And I am so happy for this girl, Rosmeri Valvuena Barbosa! She is 14 and she knows that this church is true. Some of her family members are members of the church and I am so excited to see her make her first covenant with our Father in Heaven. Oh what a beautiful and wonderful promise baptism is.
Well, its hot, I love this work, I love my savior, and I love Paraguay!!
Love you all, Hermana Liesel Wiscombe!
