Hola Familia! ¿Cómo están?
How was your week? Feel strengthened from conference?! Oh how blessed we are to be able to listen to a living word and gospel today from our living heavenly father!
This week hasn't been full of adventures, but it has been full of learning, as always. We contacted a guy about a week back and my companion decided to go back to him the other night. I probably wouldn't have remembered him. Something real quick from a conference we had this week - Jesus Christ trusts us in his work. I am here to invite everybody to Him. That's the work and it's a beautiful one. I am here to invite everyone into the waters of baptism - the gate to eternal life that Christ has made possible. So anyways, we went back to this guy named Librado. He is only about 50 and has so much faith in Jesus Christ. He has cancer and although he is in so much pain from it he wants to come to church knowing that it will bless him. We invited him to be baptized and he said a yes with much enthusiasm and knows this is what Christ wants from him. This testified many things to me, but one of them being that its so important that I go back to the people that are so open to us. Because I know that God prepares people and we are just tools. It's so important to do all that we can do and then the spirit will testify of your knowledge and actions if they are right. I know I need to be doing all I can do to be a real instrument in the Lord's hands. I am here solely for that reason. To bring to pass the immortality of each of God's children, little by little, one by one.
This next week will be the last week that my trainer will be with me, and then after that, I'm (most likely) going to be in charge of my area, knowing the people and who to see. Its a daunting task but I know that the Lord knows my weaknesses. If I do my best with everything, the language, the relationships, everything, he will make up the difference! I just need to put my full trust and faith in Him!!
The scripture I want to share this week is Hebrews 2:18. Let him in! Because Christ has been there! Read it! And I know that you will feel and have more trust in the Lord through your difficult times! This gospel is just amazing, stunning, and beautiful.
Love you all! Hermana Liesel Wiscombe
