Hey!! 2-10-15
This past week was really good! Super fast. I am emaiing today because yesterday we were busy moving into our new house! Now, we don’t have to travel to our area and back every single morning and night. That will be super nice. We dont have light in our house, so my companion and I had to go out at 9:45 at night to buy a flashlight, but we have water!!! So that’s a good thing.
Oh! I had an amazing experience this past week! We went on divisions this week and in the afternoon Hermana Antone and I were in a lesson and it was incredible. The spirit was super strong. Hermana Antone just started her mission so she is having trouble with Spanish. But that didn’t matter. We were talking about the Book of Mormon and she was talking about how she was Catholic before (she got baptized less than 3 years ago) and she was explaining to the investigators that the catholic church and the Mormon church have similar beliefs but the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints has the book of Mormon and has the restored priesthood authority. It was amazing the spirit was super strong. And she was basically just like, you guys NEED to read this book EVERY day. And it started out at the beginning of the lesson where our investigator was saying that she listens to us but doesn’t really want to commit to anything. And the lesson finished with her committing to read the Book of Mormon every day. We are going to go see if we can go back this week to see how she is doing with that :) And at the end of the lesson the investigator asked me if I was studying to be a teacher because I had really good teaching skills. Man.... that made me feel SO good :)
We had another awesome experience this week. Our investigator, Luz, told US that she wanted to be baptized into our church! It was so amazing to hear. And she already committed to live the law of chastity which is a big deal. And she was telling us how after baptism we need to endure to the end. She has such a strong testimony! So we are planning on having a baptism for her at the beginning of March :)
We had our district meeting today and our district leader was talking to us about how Christ is the Reason. It started of the first week with Faith is the Power. Obedience is the price. Love is the movie. The Holy Ghost is the key. And Christ is the Reason.
Its so true. I am here because I love Christ. I love my savior and what He did for me. We can never repay Him, but we can do what He asks of us. I KNOW that these are the last days. TODAY is the day to prepare. I know that when the Lord comes, I want to see His face and be able to tell Him that I tried my hardest. I did my best.
My goal this week is to talk to EVERYONE. Its super hard to get over the fear of talking and being rejected or judged. But I know perfect love casts out ALL fear.
Thank you all for your prayers :) I love you all!!
