We officially only have one more week left in this change and it blows my mind. My comp and I are always trying to work really hard. And we have been able to see miracles this week! We had a lesson with one of our investigators. Her name is Nelly. We just recently found her and her son on the street and we had taught them 2 times. The other day we went over to her house and it was just her. We decided that we wanted to talk to her about the plan of salvation. Where did we come from and why we are here. We started off talking about our life before this one and then the decision we made to come down here. Then we really focused on WHY we are here. We explained that its a time of testing. God wants to see if we are willing to keep his commandments. We talked about faith, repentance and then we talked a lot about baptism. We read with her in 2 Nephi 31. I invited her to be baptized and she just got the biggest smile on her face (which doesn’t happen too often). Then, we told her that we have been thinking about giving her the date, the 5th of December. She said "My birthday is the 7th!" And she started crying. It was seriously so spiritual. I felt the spirit really strongly in the lesson. There was a part where she had questions about her baptism. So we explained the authority and how Joseph Smith restored the authority of Christ in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints. She understood perfectly that there is only one true church. Its amazing what God has given us. And I have a very strong testimony about the priesthood. I know that this work wouldn’t or couldn’t progress without the priesthood.
God is working miracles in our life every day. We just have to open our eyes and see just how involved He is in our lives. He loves us so much!! And like Liesel said one time. Its not just Gods work and glory to bring to pass our immortality and eternal life, but it is his DESIRE. Everything God does is for our benefit and because He loves us. He wants our salvation SO bad. May we all try a little harder to make our Father in Heaven a Father who is proud of us and someone who He can count on to return to His presence one day.
I love this gospel!!
And I love you all! Hope you have a fantastic week!
