Whose Disciples Are We? October 6, 2014
Hola dearest friends and family!
How amazing was conference? Aren't we so blessed to be able to hear continuing revelation and guidance from our Father? You know he loves us right? One of the talks I loved was from Lynn G. Robbins. If you don't remember it, it was about fearing God and not man. Whose disciples are we? As a representative of Jesus Christ I have to ask myself everyday and make sure I am being a disciple of him, every moment. It's definitely hard always fearing God more than man when people can be so unfair sometimes, but that's life. And I know that we HAVE to aspire to the honors of God. Not man. That was just one of the many that I loved. Go back and read them! Follow the prophet when he tells us to ponder them! Study them and learn from them! God will continue answering your prayers with personal revelation! We need to put in our part first by diligently studying the wonderful words of the prophets - whether it be by scripture or conference!
As for the missionary work here in Molino, not too much out of the ordinary! Every day is a struggle but everyday I am learning to love the work more and more.
A scripture I would like to share this week is 1 Corinthians 7:23. dice: "ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men." That scripture is so beautiful. It kind of goes along with that talk I liked earlier. Don't fear man more that god! Don’t be servants to men. Be a servant of Christ. And the first part of the scripture is something to think about. Christ paid for us. Christ paid the price that eternal life has. And because we are not able to pay it and because Christ is our loving, perfect brother, he paid for us to be able to have eternal life. We can't waste what Christ has bought for us! Don’t be servants of men! Ye are Christ's.
Well, that's about it for this week. Onto a new week of hard work and working hard!
Love you, Hermana Liesel Wiscombe
