Merry Christmas dearest family and friends!
What a wonderful week of this holiday season it has been! Nothing too new or crazy, but I have felt the Savior's love and that is one of the best things of all!
Something that I want to share is about how we all are the Lord's sheep. There is a scripture in Matthew 18:11-14. Most of all I like this verse :
14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
We are all his little ones. The reason that I like this is because no matter how big we are, how smart we might seem, how good our lives might be, we are all equally loved by our Father in Heaven and we are all his little ones. Last night we had the chance to meet and contact these 2 guys on the street. One of them, Pedro, started talking about how his wife died 11 years ago, and his daughter doesn't talk to him. And his mom just died 6 months ago. This man, being about 50 years old started crying because he loves his mom so much. I can't imagine how alone he feels right now. It just breaks my heart. But the knowledge of the plan that God has for us is wonderful. I hope that this plan can help him understand and that he takes the leap of faith to read the pamphlet that we gave him. This experience showed me that we all have hard times and we all have to go through things. But the Lord is always searching for us. If we but follow him and grow closer to him, we can receive the comfort we need. I know that Jesus Christ and his gospel is the answer. The answer to all of the doubts, fears, insecurities, questions, everything that we have is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This week we had the wonderful opportunity to have a zone conference. The leaders in our mission are truly wonderful, especially our mission president, President McMullin. In the mission we are going to be changing some things starting in January. I don't know exactly what is going to change yet, but the work is going to just get better, but that means harder too! There will be a lot more responsibility put on us as missionaries, but I know that the work will get sweeter and I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for his children in Paraguay! Something that I have realized this week is that this is the Lord's work. After all that we can do as missionaries, the work and everything else is up to the person (investigator) and the Lord. So I am here to give all my heart and energy to the Lord so that he can bless his children the most he can!
Well, Merry Christmas everyone!! Thank you for all that you do! I am thankful for all of the support and love that I feel from you!
