Hey everyone!
This week we really saw a lot of miracles. Its been really amazing! I can officially say that we have someone with a baptismal date!! I’m so excited! That hasn’t’ happened here in a long time. We are really started to see success in this area. Her name is Florencia. She is about 24ish and she has 3 kids. She is so eager to listen to us and really wants to learn more. I know that there are people out there just waiting. They are ready for this gospel, they just don’t know where to find it. I’m so glad to be a part of her progression. Its really amazing being able to help people.
Another thing. I think I’ve talked about Familia Troya before. They are just an incredible family and they understand SO much. Its just been a little hard to find them in their house lately because the moms mom has been sick. But we were able to find them and teach them the other night and it was amazing! We have already invited them to baptism but they didn’t’ quite say yes. We were teaching them about the Plan of Salvation, which they understood so well. The dad was saying that of course this plan makes sense. Why would we be here on the earth if there wasn’t something after? And it just made sense to him that we are all going to be judged one day. He was telling us that this time is like a test and we were just like, "yes!!" haha. Its so great to see these people understanding. And at the end we invited them to baptism again and they said yes!! They said they are going to pray about a date and let us know when we go visit them this Tuesday. I love that family so much. And its so cool being lead by the spirit. I have really felt lead by the spirit lately.
As for a scripture to share. I was reading 1 Nephi 1-4 this morning. I’m starting the Book of Mormon over again! :) Anyway. I was reading those 4 chapters and it really showed me the importance of obedience. Nephi was so obedient. Always. He never wavered. Please go and read 1 Nephi 3:7. I know we can all learn from this.
Yo hago lo que el Señor me manda. Porque sé que El nunca da mandamientos a los hijos de los hombres sin prepararles la vía para que cumplan lo que les ha mandado.
Thank you all for your prayers! And I hope all of you mothers out there have an amazing Mothers Day! :)
Lots of love, Hermana Jacqueline Wiscombe
