HOLA OTRA VEZ!!
Wow. What a fast week. Crazy! This week was a good week! My companion and I worked really hard. It was a pretty normal week, it was just extremely hot. But luckily there are a lot of people that always ask us if we want juice or water. The only bad thing is sometimes the only cold water they have is water with gas. Which is NOT good. Haha. But its always a nice offer, so of course, I drink it. Anyway, apart from the heat, we had some great lessons this week! One day, we were passing a lady that we always see and I told my companion that we should go talk to her (she was sitting in the middle of a field on a chair- sounds weirder than it was haha). We ended up just sitting on the grass and teaching her. But luckily we were in the shade cause there were trees. We talked to her about the restoration and her husband joined us for a little while. She said that she would pray about what we talked about so we are going to go back this upcoming week and see how she is doing. Its crazy how many people here just need our help! This gospel is for everyone. The entire reason that we are out here is to bring others unto Christ. Its pretty awesome to get to be the one to invite them. Such a privilege.
In our district meeting this week we talked about how obedience is the price. Last week we talked about how faith is the power. Even though sometimes its hard to obey with exactness in every moment of every day, its so so worth it. Christ sacrificed His entire life, to obey the will of The Father. He was so patient, so loving, so kind, and so meek. He is the perfect example. And He has given me so much strength and so much courage while I’ve been out here in Uruguay. I know that if any of you guys need strength and feel like you cant go on, just know that during the difficult times, you are walking shoulder to shoulder with Jesus Christ. Christ is most definitely my strength.
We found a family this week and they are amazing! We found the dad one of the first days that we were here and then when we went back the second time, the mom answered. They have three kids (adults) and we talked to all of them but one in the first lesson. They are an amazing family. Super kind and they know a lot about Christ. We ended up having a second lesson with them this week and the entire family was there! They just sat down and listened. Holy cow. it was amazing. I know that they are going to progress. And I know that God has prepared these people.
This work is super hard. We get rejected every day, we have to walk in the heat and sacrifice our time. But I have never felt closer to my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I know that I am doing the work of the Lord and I am changing lives. I am doing an eternal work. This is the absolute most important thing I could be doing right now. So I am thankful for every experience that God has given me.
Thanks for all of your support and everything that you guys do for me. Thank you for your prayers. I hope that you all have an amazing week and remember to lean on the Lord.
Love, Hermana Jacqueline Wiscombe
