This week has been really good! The weather has been totally bipolar. Last week I was sweating like crazy and yesterday I couldn’t move my fingers because it was so cold. It seriously makes it difficult to get dressed in the mornings haha. Oh, and I forgot to mention a few things in my weekly email last week. Last week we had divisions. We went to an area that’s right next to the beach and it was so cold! It was really windy. My comp and I slept on air mattresses in another Hermanas house. We slept there two nights. I slept with a hat on, a scarf, tights, sweatpants, gloves, and a jacket, and I was still FREEZING!! During our personal study in the morning, you could see our breath......in the house. Haha. It was so cold! But divisions were so fun. They went really well! I love seeing new places and going out with new people, its so fun! I like seeing different ways that people teach.
Oh and I haven’t told you guys get that we have to wash our own clothes. Let me tell you, if you have a washing machine, count your blessings. Its actually crazy that you can stick your clothes in a machine and it washes it for you! I’ve never had to wash my own clothes before and I feel like I’m living in the 1800s haha. It makes for good stories though! We also had a service project last week. We went to a ladies house and we scraped a wall with a knife to get off the last layer of paint which took about two hours and then we painted the wall white. It was actually pretty fun!
So, its been proven. I’ve gained weight here. My companion told me haha. Its so hard not to, because they feed you a huge lunch, and I’m always starving so I eat all of it, and then at nights, people will
This week I have noticed that I’ve really started loving the people that I teach. And I really want to help them and bring them happiness through the gospel. I’ve stopped worrying about the language as much, and its helped. I have felt less stressed and I’ve definitely had more faith in the Lord and His timing. This week, one thing that I have noticed is that we are so blessed. God has literally given us EVERYTHING. There is nothing that we have, or see, that wasn’t created by Him. Its amazing the love and the mercy that our Father has for us. Oh! My trainer and I had some pretty interesting experiences this week. We were walking on the street one morning, and the first person we talked to didn’t believe in God, she just never has. But she said we could come back, and she seemed open and willing to listen, so I hope she can progress. And then after that, these two young men, Jehovahs Witnesses came up to us and started talking to us and stuff, I think it was just a battle to see who knew more, (Well, I was just standing there, trying to understand). Then there was this guy sitting on the side of the road, and he was drunk. He basically said, God doesn’t exist. If you can prove that he exists right now, I will crawl on my knees to the United States right now. You are beautiful, why are you walking around telling people that God exists? So we left as soon as we could. It was just a very interesting day. This week we are doing divisions, so I’m excited! I hope you all know how truly blessed you are and how much your God loves you. Just look around you and feel totally blessed. Be happy and do everything you can to thank heavenly father. I love you all and thank you for your prayers! I love you all!
MOSIAH 2 :)
