Happy September!!
I hope everyone had an awesome week! This week was really good. A little crazy, but good! Guess what?! We had 3 baptisms this weekend! Facundo, Kevin and Vladimir. Facundo is our investigator that has been wanting to get baptized for a long time. And it finally happened!! And Kevin and Vladmir are members in our ward. They are both 8 years old. But we helped with the process of al 3 baptisms and they all went really well. Okay. I’m going to tell you guys about a miracle that happened this week. Facundos baptism was Thursday at 7:30. My companion and I and 2 elders, we got to the church at about 6pm. We looked at the font (because we had started filling it at about 3 ish), and we looked and all the water had just been going down the drain. The font was completely empty! And the baptism was going to start in a little over an hour. So what we did is we looked for buckets in the church and luckily there were a lot in the church! We filled up the buckets one by one in the kitchen sink and carried it to font. The water was still going in the font but normally it takes about 3 to 4 hours to fill the font. So we all ran back and forth dumping buckets of water into the font to speed up the process. Within an hour, the font was completely filled!! It was seriously amazing. And the baptism went really well!! God listens and answers our prayers :)
It was also really awesome because our investigator Hugo went to two of the baptisms that we had and yesterday in our gospel principles class (yes, he came to church!), we asked him a blessing that he has seen from God this week. And he said, "well I was able to go to the baptisms and now I understand the importance of it." Awesome right?! His baptismal date is the 26th of September :) Basically all of this week we were preparing for the baptisms. I’m sorry this email is going to be really short but I really do thank you all for your prayers. It means a lot!!
A scripture that I want to share with you is 2 Nephi 4. Just read the whole chapter. Seriously. Its amazing and it has helped me realize what I need to do. I’m so grateful for this gospel! And I know that it is the ONLY way that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. And how loving that He has given us all the tools! :)
I hope you all have an amazing week!
