Hola familia y amigos!
Guess what?! I’m sure you guys can guess, being that I told you guys last week.. We had a beautiful baptism this past week. We were blessed enough to help one of God's children reach the wonderful covenant of baptism. Hermano Cristian Acevedo. Now we are blessed enough to help him be a faithful member of the church and endure to the end! And yesterday we were able to see him receive the Holy Spirit. To be his guide for all of his life. To help him in EVERY aspect of his life. One thing I am really happy to be a part of is the big family that we have in the church. If we don’t have the ideal family here or in this moment, we always have the members, our brothers and sisters, and the church to help us. I know that this will help Cristian a lot. His family has a little trouble showing him their love. So I know that the church and the members will be the people to show him that love. The love of Christ. I know that through the church, following the gospel of Jesus Christ allows us to receive and feel all of the Love of God. He has so much love for us but sometimes we are so involved in something else that we forget that simple truth. I know that Heavenly Father was very happy with his son, Cristian, entering into this covenant so that He can bless him.
There really wasn’t too much from this week to report on, but the familia Fernandez is progressing and we are hoping to give her a goal, a date to get baptized. Hermana Hilda and her son, Alexander. Its been such a wonderful blessing to be able to work with this part-member family.
Something that has been made very apparent this week to me is how weak I really am. And by weak I mean little. I am just a little soul. With a very little knowledge, and talent. But I am reminded over and over again, thank goodness to scriptures, that through small and simple things, great things are brought to pass. I know that I am far from perfect and that I’m just a little person wanting to share this good news with the people here, but I know that Heavenly Father can use me as a tool in His hands if I just give myself over to him. Spend every ounce of energy and thought on him and his children and his work for this little time, He can use my efforts for the good.
Again, not too much from this week. But I hope that everyone is doing well and that you are all praying everyday sincerely, reading the Book of Mormon, and going to church every Sunday. Those 3 things are really the keys to enduring to the end. I am reminded of it after every time I testify of them. I know that we can receive personal revelation in our lives by doing these things. Constant, and needed revelation. Heavenly Father wants to guide us! He wants to help us! Let him help you!!
Well, love you all, stay strong, and talk to you all next week!
Love, Hermana Liesel Wiscombe
