This week was crazy! My comp and I left for Artigas Wednesday and got there at 8 o’clock that night. We live with 4 other girls, which I really like. Its nice to be able to have contact with other missionaries. Our place is a lot bigger than our last apartment. Artigas is so cute! Its very country-like and it makes me feel like an actual missionary haha. Before, I was in the city and when I pictured myself being a missionary, I pictured being in a place more like Artigas. I really like it. The people are super nice! The houses are absolutely tiny, its crazy. I am actually back in Montevideo right now for the day because I had to come back here to sign Visa papers. So I got the chance to see my whole group that came here with me from the MTC! Including my old comp, Hermana Hafen! Man I missed her! It seriously felt like seeing my sister. I love people from the MTC :) Anyway, we had to leave at midnight last night, drive 8 hours all through the night to get here, and in a few hours, we will be driving 8 hours to go back to Atrigas. Fun stuff! haha.
This week has been such a roller coaster of emotions. We are opening the area and so we have had to find a lot of people, and we still have a ton more to find. We have been teaching the doctrine of Christ like crazy trying to get the menos activos (less actives) back to church. None of them ended up coming to church. I think that’s because it was raining all day. If it is raining here, people will just stay in their houses. In our ward yesterday, there were 33 people. It was crazy. So tiny! My comp and I got there and one of the leaders came up to us and said that we each had to talk for 12 minutes each.
