Wow, 7 months on the mission already? And happy birthday to Liesel!!
This week has been crazy busy!! Just working hard. Of course we’ve had to talk to a ton of people on the streets, write down names, and one thing that’s hard about finding so many people is planning to see them all again. Its seriously almost impossible. But its basically the opposite problem of my last area. In my last area, we barely had anyone to work with. So I definitely feel blessed :)
Oh! Story for the week. My companion and I were walking down the street (for a little while) and then I looked at the house to my right and I felt that we needed to stop. I actually said "this is the place". Haha..... at least I thought it was funny. So we went up to the gate and we clapped once. And we waited and no one answered. We clapped again. Still, no answer. We clapped a 3rd time............ and no one answered. But I knew that we had stopped at the house for a reason. And right as we turned around to go back down to the street, a guy on a motorcycle passed by and said something to us (that I didn’t understand) and point to the house that was behind the house we were at. So we went around the corner and we clapped at the next house and this lady walked out and immediately just invited us in. It was amazing! I was thinking, "there it is." Ha, i knew we had stopped at the house for a reason. It was a whole family. And they said that they had talked to elders a little while ago. The mom showed us the restoration pamphlet that they had given her and we asked her if she had prayed about it. And she said yes! She said that she felt that it was true. Man! Such a blessing. We are going to go visit them this week and I know it’ll go well! I have no doubt in my mind that this is the Lords work. We just have to be willing to follow the promptings of the spirit and we will be instruments in the Lords hands. Its incredible.
This week is going to be another week of hard work, lots of walking, lots of contacting, and hopefully lots of contacting! My companion and I have a goal to extend a lot of baptismal dates. Our mission president told us that if an investigator does not have a date then they are not progressing towards anything. So our goal this week is to extend the baptismal invitation. We will be praying a lot for miracles!!
I hope you all are enjoying your day off! Happy Monday! Make sure to remember always just how prevalent the Lord is in your life. I’ve been reading 3 Nephi and I have just been thinking about how there are ALWAYS blessings to those who are righteous and follow Jesus Christ. Not only blessings in this life, but eternal blessings. What a loving Father we have :)
I love you all! And PS: Happy birthday Grandma Teeples!!
Love, Hermana Jacqueline Wiscombe!
